Mojang has promised major changes to the game. The Cliffs and Caves update had already been split between two releases: 1.17 and 1.18.

Minecraft 1.18 Update Time

The final part of the huge Caves & Cliffs update has been anticipated by players eagerly. Now we have an official date.

Mojang has confirmed that the 1.18 update will be available on all platforms starting Tuesday, 30 December 2021.

At 10 AM PST, players can expect to see the Minecraft 1.18 Update Caves & Cliffs Part II updates in the game.

Minecraft New Biomes

Minecraft 1.18 will allow players to explore six new mountain sub-biomes and two new cave biomes.

The world generation heights are also being pushed up and down. New caves can be added to the game and generate Y59.

New mountain biomes include jagged peaks and frozen peaks as well as stony peaks, snowy slopes, groves, meadows, and stony summits. The lush caves and the dripstone caves are the new cave biomes.

Although maintenance times have not been confirmed, they will be announced in the coming days.

Mojang has not confirmed that this will happen, but it is possible that maintenance will take place within a few hours of the official release. Players should not expect to be able to play Minecraft online between 5 AM PST and 10 AM PST.
